The appointment of Kathie Sadlowski as Ava Town Clerk for the term ending Dec.
31, 2008 was approved, motion made by James Ossont, seconded by Frank Reid..

The board discussed the Code of Ethics. It was suggested
that the board contact Gerry Ritter concerning a format for the code.

Town pays 100% up to
$12,000 per year of Highway employees health insurance.
Town pay 50% per year of
Highway employees dental insurance.
Cap of $12,000 per
year..
Town pays 1/3 of retiree’s
health insurance (must have 20 years of service, and 62
or older.
It was suggested
that the town board look into different insurance programs for the town.
Authorization of
Supervisor to invest the idle funds as follows, motion made by Frank Reid,
seconded by John Doiron. Ayes 5, Nays 0
Authorize Supervisor to invest idle funds in
CD’s, Money Markets, Saving Accounts and
Mini funds and other interest bearing
accounts that yield the greatest return
and are consistent with
The rules and regulations of General
Municipal Law Section 11 and authorize the Town Clerk to
Establish a record of investments.
